Made with French Green Clay, Versailles Gardens is fragrance free and formulated with Olive , Palm , and Coconut oils then sweetened with a touch of Shea Butter. French Green Clay provides a delicate texture, softened with strands of raw silk.
French Green Clay is made from Montmorillonite, a very soft phyllosilicate group of minerals that typically form in microscopic crystals, forming a clay. It is named after Montmorillon in France. Much like Bentonite, it is thought to have beneficial medicinal qualities. Due to its fine grain and structure, this type of clay has been used for centuries in mud baths and for skin treatments.
French Green Clay comes from the sedimentation of Silico-aluminum, the unique coloring the result of the oxides contained in these rocks. Its special composition includes Iron, Silica, Aluminum, Magnesium, Calcium, Titanium, Sodium and Potassium. French Green Clay absorbs and removes impurities from the skin. Its gentle exfoliation stimulates blood flow to create healthy and glowing skin. French Green Clay has been used in poultices to treat arthritis, sore muscles, and sprains; in ready-to-use pastes for application to cuts, bruises, insect bites, stings, and minor burns; and mineral baths for stress relief. It is suitable for all skin types.

Rhassoul Clay is the magic in this soap. Found in the Atlas mountains of North Africa, Rhassoul Clay has been used in soaps and cosmetics by the beautiful women of Arabia and North Africa for centuries. This deep earthy bar contains Olive, Palm, Castor and Coconut oils, softened with Cocoa and Shea butters. Like luxurious bedding blown by desert winds, we added a touch of Patchouli essential oils for depth and a hint of lime essential oils to remind us of citrus trees whose fragrance floats on the wind near the Mediterranean sea.
Rhassoul Clay has been used by Moroccan women for centuries to care for their skin and hair. Typically is has been mixed with water to clean the body. Rhassoul contains silicon, iron, magnesium, potassium, sodium, lithium, and trace elements. Today, Rhassoul is used as a facial mask and poultice to the body. It is similar to a western style mud wrap. It is intended to soften the skin, reduce sebum secretion, regenerate the skin by removing dead cells, and re balance the skin by tightening the pores.
